Legal Advocate

  • Full-time position with benefits; Salary of $30,000 annually;
  • Must have a minimum of:
    • Bachelor Degree or
    • 4 years of successful experience in social services.
  • Computer knowledge;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Must be available for a rotating on-call schedule which requires a response to our immediate service area within 45 minutes;
  • Strong Direct/Open Communication Skills (both oral and written);
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing workload;
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends (as needed) to meet agency and program objectives;
  • Must be able to lift/carry/move a minimum of 40 pounds for an extended distance;
  • Employment is contingent upon positive outcomes of a criminal background check and motor vehicle record as described by Bay Area Turning Point Policies;
  • Must have a Clean Driving Record & Valid Automobile Insurance, and at least 7 years of verifiable driving experience;

Bay Area Turning Point job positions are significantly funded by grants. If funding is lost or realigned in any area of the agency this position could be changed or eliminated.
